Bobs Birthday
Sunday was the day we celebrated Bobs' birthday. His daughter Denise and her family and grandaughter Nicole and her family and great grandson Blake were all there and friends and neighbors. His cake was cute, He is a retired Superintendant on heavy equipment jobs and they had dump truck and backhoe and dirt (chockalate sprinkles) on his cake. So cute, and we all had a great bbq. We did ribs and chicken , potatoe and macaroni salads, baked beans, artichoke torta, corn on the cob. Wow! and I was pretty good except for a piece of cake.
Later I went into the hot tub with 8 month old Blake. Best hot tub buddy ever.
Some of the gang got out the atv's and went riding around the hills. This is Nicole, Blakes mom.

What a great weekend! First just to have a weekend off is a major thing. I only get one a month off and the only way to enjoy is to get away. I started out in a rental car and went to my boyfriends house on Friday night in Lake, Ca. near Cottonwood, then on Sat. we met with 2 of my kids and my daughter in law at Williams , Ca . We went to Granzellas for a late lunch and it rained all the time on the way down but when we got there it stopped, just for us. lol

CINDERELLA
Triad School in Klamath Falls which is supported by my church put on a
Rogers and Hammerstein production of the play Cinderella. I went last Friday and was amazed at the caliber of proffessionalism these high school kids had. The sets were wonderful, the music and singing was great! These kids did a fabulous job. I have seen many plays and this was top notch.
Congratulations to Triad Christian School.

It is so great to see good kids with love in their hearts signing autographs for the little ones after the play. The lighting was such and with my new camera and operater error I couldn't get any photos while the play was on.
Congratulations to Triad Christian School.

New Quilts at tater patch
These were my personal favorites this month at Tater Patch Quilts.
This one is all hand applique and the lady who made it is teaching a class on it but with my crazy schedule I won't be able to attend. This is a real piece of art.

This one is so full of animal life. it is folded in half so we could take a picture ot the wolf in the center.

New stuff at Saturday Sampler
Last weeks Saturday Sampler meeting at Tater Patch Quilts was fun as always. Robin puts on many hats and faces as she goes through her "Thats Awsome" stories and funny quips.
I think she missed her calling as an actress but instead she owns a quilting store with her partner Diane.
This beautiful hummingbird table top was made by Julie Ann who also belongs to Pelican Piecemakers. She does beautiful work as you can see.
This was a wonderful sampler and is one of my personal favorites that I would love to have on a guest bed.
This pillow was made in layers and has that 3 dimensional look. I am getting the patter. I can't wait to make some of these.
This quilt was colored by children in a safe village in Somalia and each picture was put into a quilt. The children were young all the way to high school and will be exchanged to children in hospitals in Belgium.
Great Rooster and the hand quilting is exceptional. She made several for wall hangings

Birthday Girl
I can dream
wish I was here
getting carrots
Billy Bird and Mom brush calves
grooming Cheech and Chong to keep them friendly has become a daily chore. The calves now are about 350 pounds and were starting to not want our company so now I brush them and have created a monster with Cheech. I have discovered he loves apples and carrots. Chong however wont even smell the goodies. Now Cheech stands in front of the front porch moowing at me for his treats. After I give him his treats it is hard to get back to the house and he is very determined to find more in my pockets.
